Ciga-Rette The Ogre (Part 5)

Mother, please open the door
Mother, please, I'm filled with dread
Mother, what (a) hideous jaw'
Ma, I'm stalked by Ciga-Rette

Let him take you, Dora
Should have stayed in like Nora
I can't open the door, ah!
For I am filled with horror

Nora, my twin, please open it
God, he reeks so dreadful
Nor' you said we'd never be split
I Swear that I'm remorseful

Let him take you, Dora
Dora, rules ignorer
I can't open the door, ah!
For I am filled with horror

  1. Huh? No one helped her? No one...

I just love the way you tell stories with poetry. :)

  2. Not even her twin will help her? That is hash I use to think the twin helped her. My sister (@elsbro) and I are debating as to the moral of this story.

Was it an anti smoking campaign? Or was it a campaign to warn young girls about bad smoking men?

I believe it is to warn girls about bad men who smoke. But my sister says it is because I have no imagination.

I look forward to reading to the end and to you settling our debate.

  3. I think it was intended as a lesson on the repercussions of disobedience. However, it's a fine balance, as such "lessons" can rein in the bustling and inquisitive mind and make as good at follow follow!

  4. Tetekai, thank you for your kind words. Well, we have to wait to read the last verse to see if anybody helps her...or not.

  5. Pearlsa, that is an interesting debate with your 'sister'. I honestly think you have a 'wicked' sense of humour and I like it. Now you make me want to put a wicked twist in the end and change it vastly from the original story.

  6. Yeh, I see what you are saying. Thing is I have not heard a story yet whose moral was absolutely right without a downside.

  9. Kissi, thanks. I was wondering if I had to write the lyrics of the song.

So, guys, my main man, Kissi, has provided the lyrics up above.

  10. I think I've finally placed this story thanks to Nana Yaw's explanation, 'By the Fireside' and Kissi's lyrics. Thanks, guys.

  11. The clues in the comments section have been very useful. I think I've heard this story in an ol' school hilife song.
Can't wait for the final part.
