Man’s Best Friend

A frustrated, frenetic farmer failed to fob off his faithful farm dog from fawning over him. Looking for some time alone, he bit the startled mongrel.

In a far-flung country, a man, febrile from being freshly set upon by a mutt, seized its hinds, and closed his human teeth right back in its cur-coat in a rabid rage of revenge.

And some say the Sapiens and the Canines are best friends.

  6. Thanks for your kind words, Nana F, but you dress me in borrowed robes. I use the usual writer's tools. ;-)

You say so much in so little, and so beautifully; I'm too jealous!

  16. Lol. I bet the dog must have bee really getting on his nerves. But to bite is a bit wierd. All that fur in your mouth...Yuck! All the same I think dogs are the most loyal pets you can ever find.

  17. I second Kwegyirba (not unexpected I believe) dogs are the most loyal pets you can ever find. I find it peculiar that these men would bite their dogs. That being said, I am a firm believer that dogs are what you make them out to be and a dog that's kicked and treated like shit will be scared and therefore bite. My dog was kicked and burned with a cigarette - he's scared of stranger men, but once he calms down he will want nothing but a cuddle.

  18. Knew you'd come here and comment, somehow. And yes, dogs are loyal (to their owners, feeders and handlers).
