A frustrated, frenetic farmer failed to fob off his faithful farm dog from fawning over him. Looking for some time alone, he bit the startled mongrel.
In a far-flung country, a man, febrile from being freshly set upon by a mutt, seized its hinds, and closed his human teeth right back in its cur-coat in a rabid rage of revenge.
And some say the Sapiens and the Canines are best friends.
Two different stories?
ReplyDeleteYes, Raine, two different stories.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Very erratic behavior... unless your life is in danger I guess??
ReplyDeleteNot sure, personally, what depth of desperation would make me bite a dog!
ReplyDeleteyour use of assonance and alliteration marvels me...you have a store of words
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words, Nana F, but you dress me in borrowed robes. I use the usual writer's tools. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDress you borrowed robes? You are a walking, talking dictionary.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kiz - Nana Yaw's best friend! :)
ReplyDeletethis is news!
ReplyDeleteit's always been said to be the only news that there is but not the other way round:
'man bite dog'!!!
in all my life i guess...now i've heard the news! lol.
LMAO! these men must have been quite desperate to swap roles and start biting dogs! Poor dogs must have been like, 'er, that's my job you know'
ReplyDeleteYou say so much in so little, and so beautifully; I'm too jealous!
Yes, Oh Novisi, yes, news! Man bites dog. You've heard.
ReplyDeleteantye, thanks for the compliment.
ReplyDeleteoh! I've missed ma dog(Mr. Brown)...is dat wat de man was chewing in his muf?...oh wat a "big bite"...if he wans a "hot dog" he shld go to bake shop....I will kill im
ReplyDeleteYes, Naa, kill any man who takes his teeth near Mr. Brown!
ReplyDeleteIs this what they call "bite back?"
ReplyDeleteLol. I bet the dog must have bee really getting on his nerves. But to bite is a bit wierd. All that fur in your mouth...Yuck! All the same I think dogs are the most loyal pets you can ever find.
ReplyDeleteI second Kwegyirba (not unexpected I believe) dogs are the most loyal pets you can ever find. I find it peculiar that these men would bite their dogs. That being said, I am a firm believer that dogs are what you make them out to be and a dog that's kicked and treated like shit will be scared and therefore bite. My dog was kicked and burned with a cigarette - he's scared of stranger men, but once he calms down he will want nothing but a cuddle.
ReplyDeleteKnew you'd come here and comment, somehow. And yes, dogs are loyal (to their owners, feeders and handlers).
