The Perils of a Pretty Car

This time it hit cosily close to home. My main man was teeing down the Tema Motorway and minding his own beeswax, as he always does, when a hail of heavy objects hurtled into his windscreen. There, in the shadowy shrubs, he was meant to halt, be hustled, robbed and maybe hurt, but he hissed on with a smashed facade. And it was not even late. It’s sensible not to stop in Accra no matter what has struck your car.

  1. Read about the new tricks robbers are using in the news.

I don't even know what I would do if someone stole my car! I almost had a heart attack when it was towed. I would probably spend a whole year crying. I love my Maxy!

This has got to be stopped pretty fast before it becomes a huge problem tomorrow.

  7. Yes, Raine. It appears that good advice is no matter what happens, just keep driving.

  10. well, kwame, in many instances, including human beings. in accra, they started hitting your side mirror and breaking it. then, they would fall down and yell in pain, pretending you had knocked them down. all for a few tens of ghana cedis.

  12. I remember those days when I I'd stay in the office till maybe 11 pm and my mom would call like every 5 minutes to scold me abt how dangerous the stretch of road from office to home was (still is) and I'd tell her if anyone dared to do anything to get me to stop my car i'd just drive over them. Thankfully it never came to that but I swear I'd drive over anyone who tried any tricks with me in order to get to me or my car.

Seems as that chasm between the rich and the not rich becomes ever wider people are becoming ever more desperate. I say we should look at ourselves and sort it out. And Nana, go knock their heads if they have no clue!!
