Otto Pfister

A German, septuagenarian football gaffer who tugged his tracksuit trousers beneath his behind. It had been Hip-Hop culture for a while, but Ghanaian youth named the craze for Otto Pfister. I had forgotten all about this, until the Hiplife star, Asem (and Caroline) brought it up in “Pigaro”. Now any male youth who comes to see the popular-culture fluorescence, must equip in low-slung trousers or shorts, scroll through the Otto Pfister phase, and sweep the streets with their trousers.

  1. *LOL* As my office-mate just told me...it is beyond "Otto Pfister" and is now more like "let-me-show-you-my-boxers". I once saw a feisty restaurant owner on Legon campus attack a young Otto Pfister enthusiast at her restaurant. She unbuckled his trousers, tucked in his shirt and re-buckled his trousers really high!!! All the while she was saying "Otto Pfister oni maame, oni papa" It was very public, very funny and extremely embarrassing.
I doubt that guy will be doing the Otto Pfister swagger ANYTIME soon. Well, at least not at her canteen!

  2. Pants sagging actually originated from prisons in the united states as a way to display homosexuality :). Otto Pfister just did not have enough ass(no homo) to fill up his pants. hehe!

  5. Lol, NY!
I have been seeing the 'Otto Pfister' mayhem all over the place. I had always thought that 'that confusion' was only restricted to the teenagers. I never knew the 'post-pensioner' is an adherent of the art.

  6. Acctual "Otto Pfister" when during one bad season all the cavemen could catch were the baby mamoths.

So with not enough fur to make full length trousers, they decided to make shorter ones that covered their legs and let their mums bare [dont ask how that makes sense, they were cavemen and i cant work out their reason for doing things the way they did]

Seriously though, Otto Pfister pales in comparison to what some of these ladies can do with their "Whale Tails"

  7. Well, Posekyere, now you know about the trainer. Though I doubt that he is making a fashion statement.

  8. Well, Faf, in doing some research for this low-slung trousers, I came across the "Whale Tail". I think I rather liked it. Or was I in a philandering mood? ;)
