Trading Secrets

We all nurse secrets. But there are a piddling, picayune few of them which need not be secrets, when we really think about it. I am about to share one with you, and I invite you to get one of such fiddlesticks off your own small One-Person's-Chest with a pshaw!

Three times in my three decades, the girl I was in loco love with was my cousin! All three times, reason reigned, and the fledgling flower was stopped pre-blossom. But I have always asked if reason really won.

  1. don't know...'reason' hmmm....someone's reason or our own reason. Many a time people prescribe what we must do and what we must not do...we succumb to such prescriptions and label it societal norm...I wonder if following that is reason...though marrying a family has some scientific objections such as perpetuating an undesirable trait as there is no 'outside' chromosomes during the crossing-over, combination and division of the genes...during meiosis and mitosis...

  2. Yes, yes, yes, Nana F, we need to prevent entrenched familial traits. But don't you have any 'secrets' you would like to trade? ;-)

  3. Oh wow. Like first cousins?

Ok, I'm not sure if I should even say this because I'm sure it will make me look really bad. Before I go on, I just want to say I'm not a druggie.

Ok... I've always wondered what the big deal with cocaine is. Maybe I've seen too many movies, but I've always wondered what it feels/tastes like when people rub it against their gums in movies.............

I also want to say that if I am ever presented with the opportunity to experience cocaine, I will be saying a big fat NO THANKS.

So there you have it, thats my secret.

  4. No first cousin yet, Raine. Wondering what the cocaine experience would be like is hardly a secret. Fantasies are excluded from this. Raine, is there nothing you have done which you want to 'out' now because it would not hurt a thing? ;-)

Well, here goes . . . all my friends think I'm a saint but I have actually cheated on my boyfriend once. I like to tell myself it was his fault but I know it was really mine.

He would have never found out had I not told but I did for my own sake.

  14. Pen Powder's a real man, for the limited reason of fessing up so well. Anon #1 is slightly 'shameless', lol, in an attractive way, and Anon #2 should learn to accept the sharpness of a woman's instincts!

HA HA HA HA toooo funny! I know that in some cultures, marrying a first cousin is not only allowed, it is acceptable and preferred...sometimes to preserve the blue blood.
My cousins are always FINEST....cos I can never have them of course.
My secret is....i broke up with my boyfriend after he proposed. He wasnt the man for him, i told him. He blames himself. He wasnt the one for me, i know bcos cheating on him was tooo easy.

I am in love with two men. Very good friends. The bedroom, (which is not ALWAYS in the bedroom) is different but exciting with both. One is married. I did not know that before...now i do. My life is over.

  17. ANon #1, it was tooo easy to cheat on your boyfriend, so you left him? Gosh, I am almost upset by that at a personal level. But, of course, reading it at an impersonal level shows it's been written with a lot of wit, which I loved reading.

I chose none. My love is not to be shared. Neither of them are IT.
