My Husband is Here 1

The Jump

A man sleeps with his own dear wife
It is the peaceful life
Then, in a horrible nightmare
She screams, "my husband's here"

He shoots up in a mouse panic
And darts, his clothes, to pick
And then he vaults through the window
He hits the ground below

Ah, Nana Yaw, why would a man run away from his own wife because she says in a nightmare that her husband's coming? Please explain.

  7. Anon, I believe the others have given you clues on why a man may run from his own bed because his wife's "husband is here".

  11. But, not amazingly, Lucci, you wish no ill for the woman. Women against men?

  14. I think the woman is guilty. the man merely acted out of fright, as any man would if somebody screamed next to you in the dead of the night. Of all dreams available to mankind, the woman should be asked to explain why her mind picked this particular one.
