Tears from the Curse - Poetry

Sorry, guys, but normal service cannot resume today. So, I must still express my feelings with poetry.

TEARS FROM THE CURSE

These are the days of the curse
Love’s not better, never worse

These are the tears from my heart
And here are the pieces torn apart

These are the little things I feel
That show that I’m not made of steel

These are the eyes you saw right through
But then, your feelings were not true

These are the echoes of my life
And here is my blood on your knife

These are the streets to walk alone
A journey through the great unknown.

  1. If only your heart would bleed more often so that we would get a greater dose of your poetry ; )

If you do end up walking the streets alone, don't forget that that can be a very exciting and fulfilling journey too.

  4. Your poems show a different side of you Nana Yaw, but one that I like as well. Both beg the question - what happened? But then again I am sure you are too principled to kiss and tell :D

  5. Thanks for supporting me, guys. The worst is over. I will cast gloom over this space from now.

  6. Denise, I was wondering what you meant by "both beg question". I would really like to discuss that, if you'd like to. :-)

  7. Ignore my second-to-last comment. I meant I would cast gloom no more.

  10. When you love someone, you do not love them all the time, in exactly the same way, from moment to moment. It is an impossibility. It is even a lie to pretend to. And yet this is exactly what most of us demand . Not my own words but those from an author that I like... Was this what you demanded? Was this what was demanded of you? Of course we should/can discuss. The only comfort I can offer is that 'this too shall pass', leaving in its wake beautiful poetry. So see, all was not lost after all.

  11. And, so, you're right, Denise. Last weekend is already rich and humorous pickings for the future living, loving and writing. As for love, once again (for i've been here so many times) i'll continue almost to believe in it, and to keep looking for the single perfect moment when its at once full and strong and beautiful and true and simple to understand. I'm stronger!

  12. Ah, the sweet pangs of possibility and promise! Sounds good Nana Yaw. Not to be a naysayer, but am not sure if there is a single perfect moment. Have found love too in the most imperfect moments that is just as fulfilling and satisfying as those that society and conscience deem perfect. At the end of the day we must be open to love - no expectations, no conditions, no preconceptions. After all, it is only then that one truly loves.

  13. I think I know who you are, Splashes. I also have a fair idea why you seem to relish the pining me. Enjoy, for it is a collector's item, a Haley's comet :)

  14. Denise, no expectations, conditions or preconceptions might make for a superior (or, indeed, the only) kind of love. But would you bring up kids in this little-expecting, unconditional, hind-sighted love? :)
