A mentally deranged man stormed into a Takoradi hospital ER brandishing a machete. People ran helter-skelter. After many minutes, a brave youth faced down the aggressor with a cudgel. So, mentally deranged persons may be violent. Now wait for this. The police arrived at the hospital ten minutes late and “appealed to the public to always join forces to apprehend mentally deranged persons who might confront them in their vicinities with dangerous weapons before harm is caused.”
This would have been funny if it wasn't for the fact that this man was banishing a matchete and as for the young man stopping him with a cudgel...hmmmm
ReplyDeleteHow do you apprehend a 'mad' man with a matchete?
For what it's worth it was an "appeal" and he did say to "join forces"... [shrug]
ReplyDeletelol. this appeal like one I have recently heard would go unheeded. No one wants to die.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha confronting an armed mad person. Interesting. They should get Jet Li
ReplyDelete"Join which forces" do we look like we've mastered the martial arts?
ReplyDeletehow funny, the last time i was confronted by crazy guy, in desperate need of 50p(which is only useful if u feel like buying a canned drink) i quickly gave him a pound instead and left. Me confront a mad man, i must be mad myself to do that. lolz. thats why we have bobbies on the beat i.e police officers.
ReplyDeletePolice basically advocating mob action. Hope they have the brains to tell people where mob action is needed and where it is not needed. Ridiculous.
ReplyDelete@ abyss:
ReplyDeleteThe absurdity of the statement attributed to the police is that the lunatic may be wielding a gun. It would be better to ask people to get away as quickly as possible from the scene without making it too obvious they are running away or the lunatic might become hotheaded. Then they can call the police asap.
@ yeh:
ReplyDeleteGood for trying to help the police out of a tight spot. You have a kind heart. But even if 10 people joined forces against 1 loco with a SMG, he would 'spray' them into oblivion.
@ Nana Fredua-Agyeman:
ReplyDeleteThen you must agree with my get-away-quick alternative.
@ lucci:
ReplyDeleteIt must be even more than just the martial arts. It must include sorcery too. We must master both.
@ Nana Yaw Sarpon:
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jet Li and Gandalf.
@ fafaq:
ReplyDeleteWe don't exactly have bobbies on the beat in Gh.
@ Kwame Mensa-Bonsu:
ReplyDeleteYour last word - ridiculous!
@ Nana Yaw Sarpong:
ReplyDeletePardon me for misspelling your name earlier.
