“Cocaine Ghana”, Ghanaian Cocaine, Ghana & Cocaine

Cocaine and Ghana are easy to link. I cannot tell you when this began, but it has been helped in no small way by the current breed of politicians. I used “breed” deliberately (think of it). It does not matter in which government our security system became lax or in which period the State was suspected even of sponsoring the trade. So when our elected MPs spend the taxes tortured out of us empty-barrelling about whether it is Cocaine-NPP or Cocaine-NDC, then I’m asking for my wasted vote back with interest.

  1. Sadly, we do have a drug trafficking problem - it's one of those things that is so overwhelming, it's paralyzing! Hypothetically speaking what would you do? And if wikileaks is anything to go by, should we commend uncle atta for an attempted fight?

  3. @ yeh:

We should commend anybody and everybody who contributes to fight the menace.

What we should frown on is if our MPs waste valuable time arguing on which of our past governments was responsible for the status quo.

The drug problem has been with us for a long time indeed! Problem is there isn't much political will to fight it. The barons being wise have infiltrated the parties, judiciary, etc. When a party treasurer in opposition is appointed head of the drug fighting body when his party wins...it says a lot: What is he to do if he finds his biggest donor is up to no good? As for the MPs sometimes i think they are just kids parading as adults.

This is thought-provoking. I need to explore it further.
