Are You Good-Looking?

What a “stupe-thick” question to ask. Why would anybody answer no? A Ghanaian media company is advertising a job, and that is the opening line: Are You Good-Looking? Even for a TV job, that is a doltish first line. To use an ancient “Ghanaianism”, SWINE!

  1. Dear Executive Director,
No, I'm not good looking. Indeed, I look so scary the devil himself takes flight on sight. So I cannot apply for the job.
A right thinking member of society.

  2. Haha. It will surprise u how many people will stumble on that qn. They might be "good-looking" but they doubt themselves or consider it arrogant to "toot their own horn" -- even when others invite them to.

  3. KISSI,
Kiz Man, so satirical. And to think I have not been impressed on seeing many (both on and off-camera) TV people!

  4. JEMILA,
I know, right? But I still bet most people on a job hunt would answer "yes" on instinct. Having said that, I can say I have seen very few ugly people in my life (and, even then, their physical ugliness was only reflective of their evil character).

DISCRIMINATION! But then you need a good face for TV, just don't shout about it from the rooftops!

  6. Absolutely ridiculous! To me, being 'goodlooking' really does depend on the eye of the beholder. I don't believe anyone is ugly. Well, except those evil character types u mentionned NY.

@ Abena, you are just like my wife, who sees good things in places where there is none. hahaha. Some faces are only good for the radio. Mercy!
