Parental (Un)Control

When some parents settle it that even parental-uncontrolled DSTV is not engaging enough to enthral their adventurous adolescents, they line their pockets with lucre, and chauffeur them to the prepossessing positive influence of the Accra Mall; leaving them there on their own, obligingly. These kidults then haunt the ‘complicated’ corridors with purpose until after dark.

  1. Massa, as a result it is nightmarish to venture there on a Saturday afternoon. You'd think you were in the middle of an overcrowded soccer stadium.

  2. These are the rich ones we're talking about then? I wonder why some parents think money can buy their children happiness.

  3. I oppose! lol.

I was one of those kids who hung out at the mall with my peeps on some weekends... It was just something to do other than being stuck at home doing nothing, and I got to spend the little money that I had on silly things ;) Oh, the good old days.

  4. The mall is turning into a predator's paradise. My friend and I once spied a group of men in their 40s gathered at a table in cafe leering at 15 year old girls dressed like street walkers. Gross.

@Raine, you turned out right obviously. But how many of them are now down and out? I guess most of them. Money never bought happiness for children. It is criminal behaviour by parents---an almost sure route/way to ensure their children are problems to the society in the future.

  6. I would say it is an uncivilized behavior with an abusive freedom of movements and exploration.

  7. I would rather suggest it is some kind of over uncivilized behavior of some parents which gives rise to an abusive freedom of movements.
