Forgiving! Unforgiving! And Proud of it!

My radiant birthday - I’m fuzzy-filled with la dolce vita of love lavished by my warm, wonderful friends, and I’ve been fairy-floating on a cloud. All the keen kindness means a lot to me, coming after the cruel coming of this year.

On my birthday, I always look back to all the despised persons that I’m holding something – anything – hideous against, and I fondly forgive them. I let it go. I did the same this morning. So, officially, I’m loving everybody freely.

BUT NOT THE SMOOTH-FACED SHE DEVIL! I hate her, I hate her, I hell-hate her! I still hope she comes to no good end. I will not forgive her. I so wish she had not called me today. But, then, I spat on her false birthday wishes!

  6. More challenging would be to forgive when it is really, really hard. And less important, but still, maybe the effects of that forgiveness would also be much more liberating?

    Happy bday dear friend!

  8. What could have warranted such a brutal refusal to forgive?
Could it be she stole your goat? Hehehe.
Invite her to come cut the cake with you and while at it demonstrate your capacity for love.

  10. Welcome back, Coffie. Are you posting on your blog again? As for the She-Devil, she's a double-dealing, two-faced liar!

  11. Maxine, thanks. What you say about not forgiving is deep. I am studying it. Maybe her series of unfortunate events should last a month.

  12. Kajsa, this is deep, just like Maxine's maxim (lol). I'm studying it too. In the interim, may she live in interesting times (ancient Chinese curse)!

  13. Yes, Abena O, but I am human, but not divine. That would be God, no? ;)

I am inviting nobody to eat cake with me, unless it is poisoned, and I am given a forewarning!

  19. Happy belated birthday man.
But rmbr Jesus, even when going up the cross, He said "Father forgive them, for they don't kow what they do."
Come on! forgive. Let the women keep the beefs. After all, If you smile back at her wickedness with a kind heart, it will drive her nuts, and I know you'd like to see that!
Who is she to deserve your anger anyway?

  21. Nana, I think you have every right to feel the way you do about the she devil. I can't begin to fathom why she thought it'd be a good idea to call you. However, I'd like to echo Maxine's comment. I hope you'll find a way to forgive her. . . for your own sake.
