Man, every day I see stupid drivers of motorcycles and cars and I always think silently in my mind "Stupid man one day this will kill you". Especially the motorcycle riders are reckless, the other day as I was waiting for the bus I watched one pass and thought just that, a second later he crashed right in front of me..Freaky.
Savvy, the bus was not tailgating. He braked through all of, I'd say, 10 metres. But, you see, it was raining this morning, and the street was very, very slippery. Plus the driver of the car braked really suddenly. I admit the bus was also at fault, because the fore end of the bus had crossed the line at the point of impact.
that's quite interesting. u put an accident into fine poetry, and ppl commend for the fine words. man u are a genius! and on the GH roads, there is no law, oh sorry, they are collecting money. lol!
any damage or death?
ReplyDeleteI second Naa?

Thats why there's something called "braking distance". I'm sick of Ghanaian drivers and their tailgating!
ReplyDeleteNo death or injury, Naa. Just damage to the entire rear of the (Hyundai) car.
ReplyDeleteI know. The cyclists make you wish you had eyes in the sides of your head too!

ReplyDeleteCynical are we, today, Naa?
ReplyDeleteno harm in trying(lol)
ReplyDeleteNo harm.
ReplyDeleteWOW.. This has to be the best use of brevity in poetry I have read in a long time... You do good stuff with the language brother man!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Naa.
ReplyDeleteGhanaian drivers get kicks from smashing cars.
Nana,
ReplyDeleteit seems it's rather the legal to jump traffic than to obey a mere amber light alerting you to halt for a red.
so they race after you believing you must do the 'legal'. else you either get insults or your behind gets eaten!
@Naa, i love the way you look at it. keep stretching the imagination! it's nice!
novisi.
Hey akaBagucci, welcome to my blog. I'll check out yours too. Thanks for the kind compliments.
ReplyDeleteWould you say its generally all drivers, Kiz, who have the Destructive Complex or would you say it is the drivers of big commercial vehicles?
ReplyDeleteYeah, Nov. We are always afraid of braking and stopping when and where the law says we must, for fear of somebody eating our behind. What a country.
ReplyDeleteNana, as far as I know, it is generally all drivers.
ReplyDeleteThat includes you and I, Kiz man?
ReplyDeletebreaking law by jumping a traffic...Novisi? in Ghana we dont break law...all dat u will get is a hungry police man bargaining for chop money.

ReplyDeleteThanks, my friend. :-)
