Ghanaian Culture & Freeloading

You can have whatever you like
Food, a phone, shoes or a bike
Half of us are freeloaders
If cultural, it's so odious

*Inspired when thinking about all those people in Ghana who would like others to do free professional work for them because of some arcane relationship or acquaintance.

  1. Lol! I take it you have had a number of culturally justified free consults in your time? But u're spot on; when its cultural, its so hard to say no without coming across as 'some way'.

  2. ABENA SERWAA,

The ones who want the freebies are the ones who give you the most pressure to get the FREE work done QUICKEST!!!

  3. I just suffered one right now. An acquaintance who expected me to draft a tedious commercial contract for him for free although what I charged was ridiculously low.
