The hour after work (6 to 7 pm, as the day kisses the night) is definitely my most enjoyable weekday hour.
The air con is off; team mates have faded away; work files banked in paper and mind folders; and still too early to tussle with the traffic.
I hook up with my friends online, catch up on news of this sinful world, tweet and blog: a little spot of heaven.
What's yours? The most enjoyable hour of your typical weekday?
The early morning... between 6 and 7... why? because although i know i have to wake up at 7 to get prepared for the day, I also know i have one more hour of sleep before the stress of the day starts... makes me feel like Ive cheated the day in some way or the other :D
ReplyDeleteAny hour my pager doesn't go off is divine! I love what I do, it's just in that instance, silence is very golden.
ReplyDelete@Anon: surely, you must be the only person I know (or don't know I guess), with this view!
Any hour that finds me entering my room.
ReplyDelete4.00--4.59. lol
ReplyDelete"6-7pm"? "Team mates have faded away"? Things have certainly changed (for the better) in the office since I left!
ReplyDeleteMy hour these days, is between 8 and 9pm, when I give myself a break from work (whether or not there'll be work to do after that).
7:30pm - 8:30pm
ReplyDeleteSupper is still warm and comfortably settling in my belly. The tv is on with volume turned low, Rachel Maddow being charming as always.
I'm snug in my couch with my laptop or a novel. Feeling deliciously relaxed, peacefully alone in my head and just about ready for bed.
" as the day kisses the night", must be my favorite time of day to...just for the poetry of it :-)
ReplyDeleteanon, thanks for sharing, but something says you do not live far away from work or you work out of the city centre.
ReplyDeleteyeh, so no-pager hour is the best? a permanent state of flux. i couldn't deal with that...
ReplyDeletenana fredua, entering your room ... presumably to sleep?
ReplyDeletekwame, um is that in 'am' or 'pm' terms? if it is am, i am 'dis-cousining' you. how can you love such an anti-social, anti-human, anti-joy hour? loooool
ReplyDeletemaya mame, you're sorely missed. welcome back. 8 - 9 pm sounds great.
ReplyDeleteinmyownwordss, sounds like the (good) life i want. i wish i could be home by 7.30 on week nights. i'm changing countries. would canada (not to say you work there) adopt me please?
