the children have not the dough to dole out so it rest on their parents. so they give first to children and then to God. Perhaps that's double love. Have you ever been to a harvest time at some of these big churches? children in primary and jhs are encouraged to dole out 100 ghana cedis. where are they going to get such money from if not from their parents...?
It's not always about "twice loving God." I think it's also about teaching the children about the virtue of giving to God, and then hopefully to mankind...
I agree with Nanasei, but some of the children do not put all/what they are given by their parents in the offering bowl. They save some for ice cream and sweets.
Is this about offertory? Wow now Sunday school kids are doing this too? Look at this on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lmCju71Lcg

ReplyDelete@ Kwabena Asiedu: Okay, I'll read them.
ReplyDelete@ Nana F-A: It is the fact that it goes from the kids directly to 'God' which bothers me - not not how it goes to the kids.

ReplyDelete@ Nanasei: About the virtue of giving to God, huh?
ReplyDelete@ Lyrix: Aha! Some kids learn to steal from God, this way, huh?
