The Marilyn Effect?

When will some obliging ogre pull the plug on the many dumbass light-brown divas with thin talent in Nigerian and Ghanaian movies, and put us out of our misery? If they are in there for their dubious ‘good looks’, then please rip them out and splurge them instead on gloss magazine pages and still-picture exhibitions!

  1. I agree with you. Today, most people are in movies only because of their 'beauty' not talent. The premise seems to say: 'if you are beautiful or handsome, you can act'. Funny huh?

  4. LOL, loads of them there sha. But the truth is that there are some dark skinned ones that are even worse. The whole industry needs a revamp

  5. I would be happy if the stories could be told in a clear and concise manner, instead of the part 1, 2, 3 and sometimes 4 divisions they break them up into.

  9. Ha! So true! but aren't you being a little unfair to Marilyn; She was pretty good at playing 'the dumb blond', and did put in a lot of effort to improve herself as a performer, and be taken seriously....which is much more than you can say for these 'dumbass light-brown divas', no? I've missed this space; nice to be back!
