Some people eat rice with their hands which just seems unsanitary. I find rice harder to eat with a spoon compared to a fork. Maybe its 7 years of boarding school conditioning where rice with a spoon was a dining-hall faux pas. Spoon. I can't get a hang of these English formalities. Teaspoon for this, tablespoon for that, curved spoon for the other, coiled spoon for that, flat-bottom bowl for this,.... stand this, put this to the left, that to the right, sit straight, talk to the left person only (or right?), pepper and salt shakers together.... all for just a food that would enter my stomach and come out as...? please! it doesn't even add anything to the tastiness of the food. Those things are time consuming and all.

So, again, unless at very very very very formal events, I forget I know the knife. At home, I forget them both and head for the spoon.ImageNationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06021414643103601330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7564356874518161776.post-20495290044572208562011-03-25T06:16:24.375+00:002011-03-25T06:16:24.375+00:00We all have our pet peeves, but come on! W...I don't know what the fuss is about, really. What i know is when the rice is in a bowl, use a spoon (though a bowl is the wrong utensil to use for rice). When the rice is in a plate, use a fork. It is all about the convenience the eating tool provides you with when eating from a particular utensil. In the case of ice cream, you put ice cream in a bowl and enjoy it will a spoon; see, CONVENIENCE!abysshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07269051095403639328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7564356874518161776.post-1748108304613494152011-03-24T14:55:09.721+00:002011-03-24T14:55:09.721+00:00Thank you NY!
